New day, new dawn
and I am lost
in a place known
location determined
situation strange
mind deranged
fate arraigned
a joker’s jest
body protests
hearts arrests
nothing but pain
memory lane
why have I come back?

Prayer In a chapel
Urn dissected
Flicker of hope in a maddening crowd
Standing aside
gold, sapphires, rubies
from all the glitter
colours unending tides
entire spectrum
jugglers, jokers, jesters
finest spectacles
coins, kingdom, castles
wealth tentacles
longing, for us
losing, myself
choosing, you
And why?
you innocently ask
with unreserved smile
in your angel mask
Procurement of pleasure with heartless’ treasure
wealth uncountable
desires still a few
everyday minions find
flowers glowing new
buying most beautiful
perfected, coloured, cream
tulips most admired
in colours never seen
lilies, chrysanthemums
daffodils and roses
smell loses interest for
rich choosy noses
adorned grand houses
no one calls homes
sea of servants, maids,
butlers cemetery domes
wasted immense beauty,
deflowered, lost virginity
everyone holy in town
mosque, church, trinity
colossus egos soothed in
claimed fake divinity
heartless beyond belief
exploitation with impunity
Pockets full, empty hands
Life’s conversation
discussion, education
a sermon on Sunday
Friday, Saturday, Monday
Purpose, aims, objects
strategy, plans, subject
to what happens next
treachery and tact
opportunities, endless goals
chasing wealth blackholes
working beyond hard
souls and flesh apart
Morals integrity auctions
anger, heartless eruptions
more and more we make
Death due, nothing to take
