bathe we shall

water cleanses birth
readies purifies death
cutting with a lathe
gods came to bathe
one by one,
blue skies, sun
Sol, Orcus, Liber
Janus, Jupiter, Saturn
Genius, Mercury, Apollo,
Neptune, Mars, Vulcan,
Luna, Ceres, Tellus,
Minerva, Diana, Venus
prayed in nature’s girth
in maddening maddening earth

Magical moment

I
always try
many new things
this one is tough
pushes you, across the rough
catapults you, into deep dark heavens
Wizardry is required, to break the spell
Once it is broken and you have awoken
Life transcends, broken bends, magic has arrived, make amends

Volcano

Ashes suggest a burning desire
My heart wishes, it aspires
To come near you, endear you
Potency of my passion
Affection, compassion
You want to be near, yet not so close
fear of destruction, everything you lose
You know my nature, whatever I crave
Nothing survives, nothing stays

Bogota Dame

Beautiful eyes
Smile so bright
Long brows
Emotion grows
A Bogota dame
Remembers her time
With fortune and fame
Always in tune
Body immune
to tiredness and thirst
always first
Be it salsa, meringue
or a silly game
partied so hard
put revellers to shame 🙂

When shiny things lose lustre

Born with a
diamond crusted
platinum adorned,
silver spoon

Raised by virtuosos,
masters of fame
Tricks of the trade
by best in the game

Presents always
glitter and gold
all shiny new
Nothing ever old

Life has been kind,
too kind always
Nights been generous
Sunny all days

One fine day
age arrives
energy evaporates
body survives

all limbs injured
every bone hurts
used to be dames
now death flirts

presents still shiny
chests full of gold
all lose lustre
when we feel old
