New day, new dawn
and I am lost
in a place known
location determined
situation strange
mind deranged
fate arraigned
a joker’s jest
body protests
hearts arrests
nothing but pain
memory lane
why have I come back?

Light

inspiration is everywhere
every breath is an opportunity,
to do more, to say something new,
soul renews, every morning every night,
dispel darkness, let there be light,
sweet or savoury, sumptuous delight,
wherever you look, beauty in sight
silence says nothing, words all the might
write and write, till dawn kisses your pen

Walk

party ended
everyone is gone
another day
another dawn
walking home
on my own
and perhaps
my shadow

Light before dawn

thoughts plush stairs

climbing one by one

at the top, you stop

left, there are none

that be the end

or mere beginning

take first step before

counting last, aghast

soul pleads against rushed,

never hushed, blood pumping

floor thumping, restless heart

wasted precious moments

nothing but torments

what was contemplated

considered, proven empty

fate tempting, to abyss

Silence required to count

thoughts to be found

worthy to consider

else death before dawn

before first step to

enlightenment

Dawn

Day bends
Breaking into a soft
Colourful morn
Heartbeat picks up
the speed
Light moves
Limbs warm
Energy increases
Suddenly there
is life everywhere
End rest
Birds leaving
beloved nests
Looking for
Food and fest

Fire

A great big fire
Rages in the heart
Mountains to move
Improbabilities to prove
Ultimate desire

Dusk to dawn
the mood changes
Suppressing rages
Wood to ashes
Dream crashes!!

Singapore – hotel balcony and staring into a staircase

neon lights
day in nights
City declaring
end of dark rites
find your purpose
written on the billboard
gold coins in dozens hoard
Eden on earth, party in paradise
limbs deeply sore, blind by the sun rise
looking back at that time, what to take away!

been given the ultimate gift
soul elating heart lift
end senseless drift

silk soft hand
kissing grass, feeling sand
beauty and charm heaven send

accept these with open arms
beautiful bouquet of charms
cold heart warms

renewed life begins
new day, dawn commence
soul filled with joy immense

Blurred reality

Waking up somewhere unknown
dawn colours blurred,
vision impaired
enjoying these moments
of confused existence
mind without sustenance
of logic or thought
no solution sought
of centuries of neglect
Suddenly! mind starting to reflect,
Agh, it is noon, so soon
Can someone stop the time
Why? are you God?

Last tryst

Spring flowers move with your steps
Birds sings, smiling, kissing your lips
Bend littered with countless broken hearts
Ones which never saw your perfect endearing eyes
Looking at this humble, insignificant being
Coming closer and closer you extend
Your beautiful soft rose hand
To be held, kissed, worshiped even
in those heavenly dreams I believe in
Sandals come off those beautiful feet
Clouds make way and retreat
In blue we just fly
floating to the seventh sky
When my hand touches your arm
my soul just lose it, heart disarms
Misgivings I had of death
That’s all I want instead
To be with you till eternity
