Prisoner of cupola

A beautiful dame of uncertain fame
been captured, gold-cuffed in a solitary loft
Each day she cries, asks Almighty why
is the fate of late has venom and hate
a family of meagre means, happily ate beans
content in that simple existence, mutual assistance
forgotten denizen of a small town,
plain cloth worn without any frowns,
what have I done, what could be done
to remove the curse, bring life back in verse
bad omens reverse, an ordinary universe
Answer to that is No, when rich and powerful
set eyes on beautiful, lilies in a dirty pond,
who won’t abscond, will not bond,
to dirty money, shores darkly sunny,
refuse to become their beautiful bunny,
they are captured and killed, or willed
as such, thrown money and much
to lure in a lie, deceit and wry
smirks, bodies bought, souls, thoughts,
left behind in simple family homes,
and most beautiful, innocent
girls left crying in grand domes
their destiny is all but sealed, truth revealed
there is no God for the poor, no justice for the weak
world full of death of dreams, screams, crushed squeak
of gold adorned, silk worn, gorgeous dames
locked in a cupola to match their fate and fame
all days still glitter but all are the same
until that moment, a smile returned and death came

Nightmare

Clock chimes eleventeen at night
Bleak street, without light
No sound, no soul, no one in sight
a sudden shuddering scream,
aaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhh, haaaaaaaaaaaa
unimaginable unbearable absolute fright
a person, a ghost, high devil’s host
came and punched heart to implode
took and drank blood, terror explode
breathe stuck at expanded lungs’ edge,
senses suicidal, jumped reasons’ ledge
Falling and falling, time slowly crawling
death does not arrive, he comes again
no desire to survive, mind emotionally insane
Abyss, true abyss, the fall had no end

not heaven or hell, a memory pretend

Eternal town

The view is majestic,
Blue skies, spring day
city is singing that infectious tune
of love and longing
trust and belonging
Fly and be at the Vatican door
wave goodbye to Amore
saying you will be in touch
and this gorgeous, most beautiful city
loves you too much

Life’s battles

Concubines of war
slaves for eternity
is there any justice?
flesh sold to entertain
then enthral,
finally extinguish
burning blood
dried tears’ flood
thousand coffins’ wood
another battle is upon us

Light before dawn

thoughts plush stairs
climbing one by one
at the top, you stop
left, there are none
that be the end
or mere beginning
take first step before
counting last, aghast
soul pleads against rushed,
never hushed, blood pumping
floor thumping, restless heart
wasted precious moments
nothing but torments
what was contemplated
considered, proven empty
fate tempting, to abyss
Silence required to count
thoughts to be found
worthy to consider
else death before dawn
before first step to
enlightenment

Prayer In a chapel

May you have the health
May you have the wealth
May your best smile
Lasts Life’s journey
several million miles
May you touch stars
Twinkle, shining, near and far
Happiness always stays
All roads lead to your way
May you always be inspired
by magic of all what you see
be what you wish to be

Humanity – the book

The current civilisation of Human species has come a long way in the last five thousand years. The technology is mesmerising, architecture astounding and knowledge is touching nebulae and far flung galaxies. Our values however are perhaps not showing same level of progress. There is continuous war and hunger. Inequality is increasing every moment, pursuit of wealth has made most of us blind from the misery of our brethren living just few moments away from us. Environment is a concern for the tree hugging minority only. Destruction of forests, extinctions of wildlife species and increasing temperatures globally is a commonality not even worthy of daily news anymore. This age of individuality and trying to live life through social media has made our planet more ignorant, less tolerant and a troll infested realm. I hope, wish and pray that some of these terrible trends will reverse in the not so distant future and humanity snaps out of this current craze of abominable behaviour. This short book of poems and images try to highlight my humble observations in an abstract setting.

I will try to spread this message of compassion and equality until the time is upon me. Here is the latest instalment in the form of a book at IBOOks store (free)
