your body smells daisies
mid summer evening arrives
cool breeze missive muses
heart refuses, to survive
hand in hand stroll
streets of future at night
away at a distance
a tea house, blinking lights
teas arranged in perfect order
two cups to taste a few
each flavour exquisite
feeling happier and anew
a kiss is certainly in order

Humanity – the book

The current civilisation of Human species has come a long way in the last five thousand years. The technology is mesmerising, architecture astounding and knowledge is touching nebulae and far flung galaxies. Our values however are perhaps not showing same level of progress. There is continuous war and hunger. Inequality is increasing every moment, pursuit of wealth has made most of us blind from the misery of our brethren living just few moments away from us. Environment is a concern for the tree hugging minority only. Destruction of forests, extinctions of wildlife species and increasing temperatures globally is a commonality not even worthy of daily news anymore. This age of individuality and trying to live life through social media has made our planet more ignorant, less tolerant and a troll infested realm. I hope, wish and pray that some of these terrible trends will reverse in the not so distant future and humanity snaps out of this current craze of abominable behaviour. This short book of poems and images try to highlight my humble observations in an abstract setting.

Display

Affection passionately shown
Shame left alone
Happiness reflected
Jealousy deflected

Pains, aches hidden
frowns get ridden
Envy deflated
Modesty inflated

Destiny reckoned
Knowledge beaconed
Lust utterly weakened
Friends tightly hugged
Experiences pursued rugged

Family immensely loved,
Lovers intimately kissed
deceased dearly missed
Life enjoyably passed
it will not last, for long

Transcending

honour, bravery,
character, chivalry
transcends time
weaknesses inherent
poor excuses apparent
in deeds’ absence

Urn dissected

found world’s wealth
saw nature’s health
former was way too much
latter’s luck was not such
cry and weep with hollies
sapiens and their follies

Light in the tunnel

Circle within circles, illumination store
Lightening beams spiralling out of a floor
Random thoughts, distractions immense
travelling through time, still wishing for more

Rhymes without reason

How green is your green?
that hedge being preen
ocean water so serene
how blue is your blue?
I will give you a clue
that bird just flew
look at the colour
its all a blur
insinuating a slur
how pink is your white?
arctic on a summer night
seagull on a flight
of fanciful dream
how yellow is your cream?
naked glare of a beam
nothing what it seems
how black is your black?
starry night in a lake
sanity been forsake
touching you as I lean
how green is your green?

King of castle

In the garden
of ten thousand flowers
A tree stood alone
Let it be known
Who is the king of this castle

Story

Million hairs untangled
Golden, black and brown
Faces without emotions
Ecstatic, sad, with frowns
mademoiselle to madame
Child becoming dame
World keeping changing
I remain the same

I have noted
whatever you do
So did I
Between us
Who is the target
Who is the spy
