Prayer In a chapel
Home
However it is
It’s my home
My castle, my life
In hunger, in strife
My refuge, my dome
It’s my home
Don’t say bad things
it’s not posh
You look through my eyes
It’s better than
White House
It’s better than
even Rome
It’s my home
Life has been tough
I hit the rough
many times
Each time I know
What to read
Where is my tome
It’s my home
Invaders have come
Bruises and some
Scorching sun
Making sure I burn
This will be life, and
catacomb
It’s my home
Sadness on a busy day
My dear
In and out of fear
Story never ends
Even when bones bend
Unable to stand
Or sleep, weep
Injured deep
Inside, unable to move
Unable to leave
an impression
on sands of time
at your favourite beach
still, love and its soothing
dim, sometimes grimm,
feeling is left for eons
and a lost soul
able to touch it and says
Hey, I know that beauty
pretty princess was here
there and everywhere
rhythm of her steps
is a lullaby to this universe
Friendly advice on matters of life and death
spent all years
in knowing life
its contradictions
mind bending
hallucinations
love ending
propositions
heart rending
suppositions
heaven sent
dispositions
what is never heard
just understood
is the silence
of death
knocking each door
checking each floor
only calling your name
when it is time
fear is not a crime
just a condition
most sincere advice
Ignore all lies
of living till eternity
if won’t give joy
nature is coy
a short time is better
Do what matters
live, laugh, lead,
help brethren in need
sow a humble seed
of tranquility, ease
when the knock comes
leave in utter peace
Eternal yearning
heart cries intense screams
eyes long for loved ones
decades have depart
thousand miles apart
faces can be seen
voices could be heard
slow burning melody of
a melancholy bird
embraces are missing
devoid of kissing,
cheeks, forehead, lips
mind runs and trips
soul dips, in darkest valleys
bottomless oceans
ferocious storms are no match
when hearts latch
on universes’ strength
desire to cross all paths
deserts, land swaths
inveterate sighs, bare feet fly,
without thinking, I will die
but, surely will get there
even in a coffin
to receive that embrace
when tears runs uncontrollably
moistening, cleansing, soul of sins
violations will find redeeming bins
rightful recipient to arrive
in sheets of alpine white
what a sight, that would be
of uncountable kisses on
cheeks, forehead, lips
time will slip, so go catch
quickly fetch, tightly latch
on that flight of sweet smell
first drops of rain
on arid memory lane
they eagerly await
but can’t forever
Sighs on Spanish Steps
Cries of the first trillionaire of the lost planet
delayed
message relayed
you are so late
humanity’s fate
rested in those
irresponsible hands
seas destroyed
barren lands
saving required
immense sacrifice
mere talk
will not suffice
but talk you did
in shadows hid
kept a tight lid
on issues grave
temperature rise
extinction on rise
species adored
shown death door
pennies to save
profits to make
arms are cure
poor must endure
ivory towers safe
rations they have
others good riddance
no admittance
humanity’s fate
of this late
compromised
everything died
except you
who flew
to your glass abode
everyone expired
whole planet fried
almighty cries
no one to listen
no one to complain
just a lone insane
and rest of the world
in demised memory lane
Rome built in a day
Long ago in a vast lay
Rome was built in a day
Vias in a fickle
Trevi fountain for a nickel
Colosseum in a tickle
Vatican ordained
piazzas maintained
people entertained
and I came to see you
you smiled, self styled
guru of all potions,
mere notion that I have fallen
just make you giggle,
while I struggle, nowhere to run
why in love, I suffer,
you are having fun
why I came on this morn
when Rome was being born
your laughter being melt
into foundations of the city
to extend its beauty,
beyond all, mighty fall,
just like me, and
I had to leave on the day,
without you, to my dismay,
when Rome was being built
