writer’s mind wanders
to a beautiful poem
dancing in the rain
has a humming lullaby
Tune so soft
Words with grace
natural and pure
Doesn’t pretend
Humble beginning
Amazing end
poet likes it
Ditches the song
arrogance
kept it alive
But not for long!!

Hospitality

We met at the train station, it was so good to see her after such a long time. Her beautiful eyes had hints of longing, slight irritation, stories of years passed between us and some satisfaction to see me in good health. She asked her errand boy to give three beautiful marigold flowers to me one by one, he said to me each time in Urdu ‘yay-lo bhaijan’ which meant ‘take this brother’. We instantly laughed hearing that, knowing at least two other ways to interpret ‘yay-lo’. I was home and life was beautiful. My mother gave me a hug and jail time seemed like a distant past.

Affection

affection so deep
even angels weep
when she cries in pain
having lost you again

for a moment or two
an adventure a start
perhaps nothing for you
could break her heart

don’t go too deep
don’t fly too far
you should know
how mothers are

loving caring
deep endearing
heartache bearing
they laugh with your smile

stressed when you are sad
killing anything bad
comes near you
even within a mile

value every moment
with her deeply
love her steeply
nature forgets you
when she is gone

you are all alone
and no one left whole
who will get you
what you want
by happily, merrily
selling her soul

Looking through

Nothing on the other side
All we seek is inside
Within us, stop searching thus
Soul, heart will show the way
Every night, each day,
Just listen, let them have their say
In this, perhaps only here, you may
find redemption

Zero to infinity

First experiment in publication…please take a look at ‘Zero to Infinity’ a short book with ten poems at iBooks store…since love, devotion and thoughts are priceless, this book is free. Connection

prophecy told
our mutual destruction
the day we met
senses prevailed
charted, detailed
separate paths
running parallel
never meeting each other
when one day
desire defeated sense
a kiss flew
from me to you
wind blew
paths connected
hearts detected
similar beats
body heats
we become one
lava passions
had utter destruction
from two to none
just sweet smell
of us been there remains
and I am not sorry

Dangle

Work, work, work
Carriage with cages
Dangling along for wages
A hard day ahead
I work till I am dead
Still that is not enough
