how quickly Sapiens forget
we will regret,
once source is poisoned

I was the king, god to millions
Nothing to care for,valued in billions
it was not enough, delusion struck
lost everything, got deep in muck
now on the street, spend my days
Life is a struggle in many ways
Lessons I have learned tell truths deep
All this glitter, nothing to keep
Love, care, devotion only few

On the horizon, a sailing boat
A lonely soul at the helm
Eyes closed, meditating
Boat on its own, course setting
Take her to the destinations’ dream
Valley of the sun, desires but one
To meet the beloved
And her wish was heard

Hare, turtle, young and old
Slim, fast, fat and slow
Don’t you rush, rather hush hush
Let it flow, let it flow
Take you aim, fire at will
Take them out, blow by blow
Sapiens with courage, stop at nothing
Others scream, in voices hollow

Colour blind

Staring in the clear blue skies
Seeing black and grey
Don’t run away
Stay, colours will be back soon
By noon, along with a kiss

Together, promised
never to part ways
young blood, early days
then life happens

Is life hard
Or we make it so
Trying to comprehend
a meaning, when there is none
Would be it easier if thoughts went away
replaced with merriment, joy and sun
Would we feel any worse than today
If breathing was the goal
Search is over, no one is pondering
definitions required for our role
Happenings, emotions, truths and lies
Take them what they are
Apologies, felicitations not required
Relations none, near or far
Fulfilment attained with no complications
by walking on the beach or recreation
Would it be life or just existence sole
Does it make any difference,
if humanity had no soul?

Return of the smile

Life balance needs restoration
Empathy, positivity welcome
Negativity needs to go away
Sadness, it is not your day
Happiness, pride, joy and gay
Day by day, smile returns in force
