Last tryst

Spring flowers move with your steps
Birds sings, smiling, kissing your lips
Bend littered with countless broken hearts
Ones which never saw your perfect endearing eyes
Looking at this humble, insignificant being
Coming closer and closer you extend
Your beautiful soft rose hand
To be held, kissed, worshiped even
in those heavenly dreams I believe in
Sandals come off those beautiful feet
Clouds make way and retreat
In blue we just fly
floating to the seventh sky
When my hand touches your arm
my soul just lose it, heart disarms
Misgivings I had of death
That’s all I want instead
To be with you till eternity

Libation

Red grapes essence
running through veins
Thought wanders far
Merriment without reins
Mind implodes, joy explodes
Dancing through expansive plains
your smiling widening lips
Rest utterly forgotten, mind dips,
Memory slips unforgettable moments

Subliminal

We have the best at our heart
Community service makes us apart
In youth we live
Rain forest we rebuild
Jobs we provide
Economic freedom, pride
We having nothing to hide
Except pollution and guilt
Profits and filth, chemical we spill
We are the best still
Come work in our mill
Humanity we are fine with
Nature we sometime kill

Lurking

A boat awaits
for a journey to
high seas
Inside great ocean,
waterborne
Yards in, miles out
immense darkness
humbles tiny soul within
Forcefully
chaos ready to break-in
after eras of utter calmness

Time travel

Distances mapped,
caged and trapped,
No escape, one master
Time and its disasters
Can you turn tables
Start a resistance
Joining in rebels
Let it lose kingdom
Making it your slave
Slowing it down
Making it behave
Impossibility, it seems
an unthinkable scheme
non starter, will unravel
unless you know
before the morning glow
How to time travel!

In the rich man’s world

I don’t want your money
I have no urge to steal
If only for a moment
you realise how I feel

Brought up in a ghetto
Parents killed before time
gangs all I have as relations
Inheritance not a dime

Leftovers for sustenance
held machetes, never a pen
Drugs carrier at five
Junkie at the age of ten

Hardened by daily beatings
Bullying is just for fun
betting my life everyday
roulette with loaded gun

Trading in crack, heroin
Thousands I do make
Wish I could cross thirty
before dumped in a lake
