Surrounded

Concrete giants
Block my way
Shouting at me
We are here to stay
May I humbly ask
How old are you
Twenty, thirty, forty
Or fifty two
We last hundred years
Or lot more
If humans stay away
And leave our core
Stay for a while
Have a tea
You will be gone soon
But I will be

Chameleon

Sky, are you blue, is that true?
Depends, says my good old friend
If you are angry and I agree
I could be red with many dead
Don’t be so mad, making me sad
what happens next
I could be pink, in shame I sink
errors of judgement, I blush and blink
Violet the new colour, becomes this blue
Confused without clue
When you are not around
Nowhere to be found
Unable to hear your sound
I get grey, my clouds in tears
Sapiens destroy sister earth
Scared for her, million fears
I am white, the bright knight
cleaning smog, jealousy, spite
I am dark and black, come soon
Light me up, make me laugh
my funny cousin moon
When the king sun arrives
as court jester in space
I spray colours filling my face
to keep him amused, I hope he stays
That’s the story I could tell today
plenty more still, come another day

Read red writing on the wall

Blood red greens
Anger seething roots dark
Passion feeding vegetation spark
your needs, we sacrifice ourselves to feed
to save our brethren on greens, trees in teens
being killed for paper planes, prints insane
millions die for unwanted trash, toilet paper or cash
our vapour boils to extreme, no herbs it seems
will cure your disease, unmeasurable greed
having more, from one to the next shore IMG_0124.JPG

Certainty (in colour)

it would happen
perhaps, lately or
now, immediately
out of nowhere,
death will arrive
breath will dive
pulse will slow
pupils dilate
lungs deflate
gasping for air
strength, flair
all left, mind bereft
last few words
I am no more
certainty in store
of death and demise
all truth and lies
one short sigh
to be buried with I

Voices

Stories I hear
far away and near
joys and fears
Foes and dears
of true belief
Branches, leaves
Wherever they fell
Epics they tell
Ingrained faiths
Unexpected deaths
Or expected ones
Fathers and sons
Defy the logic
Inexplicable magic
Odes tragic
Prolonged tales
Epic fails
Masts and sails
Roads and rails
Storms and hails
Cotton bales
Dirt and mud
Snow and flood
that rose bud
Marvellous stud
His run, a gale
fresh and stale
all stories are fine
Exquisite grape wine
they mature and excel
Trees do tell
when leaves pale
In rustling dales
whispers wonder
words asunder
King’s blunder
Loot and plunder
Conquerors tales
Trees do tell
stories, listen!

Deliverance

Disguised as a flower
Gabriel spoke to me
Giving hope of
redemption
Showing uncharted territory

Where the heaven
meets the horizon
Trees in the forest
sing in unison
songs of praise
for the nature above

My deeds are weak
My words are hollow
Still the hope
allows me to speak

I go back to my forefathers
honour intact,
head held high
Being true to
my creed

For roaming the earth
Sowing the seeds
of happiness, courage,
contentment,
for a better world, indeed
