I was the king, god to millions
Nothing to care for,valued in billions
it was not enough, delusion struck
lost everything, got deep in muck
now on the street, spend my days
Life is a struggle in many ways
Lessons I have learned tell truths deep
All this glitter, nothing to keep
Love, care, devotion only few
people stay put, when all others flew
ask for more,

let’s travel the world while sitting in each other’s arms,

In each other we sink

Just as it sets in the sea
smile till we sleep,
laugh till we weep,
long each other’s body and soul,
the whole, nothing is left untouched
Faces hide multiple layers of truth and falsehoods
Amusement, engagement, estrangement
Downright disassociation with life
yet, laughter, love, life and living
are embedded in our fabric
Ignore hatred, cleanly put your layers
Imperfection scares, even your dearest
Runs away, real ones stay, they don’t mind the pain
of tunnelling emotions
intricacy of hue
carries me away
no opinions matter
just your colours cater
for what life is going to be
Limbs stretch
Heart pumps
Body dumps
Liquids, fats
Knees crumble
Mind fumbles
Rumble jumble
Waste in haste
My advice,
Bit of vice
Laugh and rest
Dance and fest
Moves to test
Grooves best
Not a moment
Life to waste
Short, sweet
Go with the beat
Till it stops
