gods came to bathe
one by one,
blue skies, sun
Sol, Orcus, Liber
Janus, Jupiter, Saturn
Genius, Mercury, Apollo,
Neptune, Mars, Vulcan,
Luna, Ceres, Tellus,
Minerva, Diana, Venus
prayed in nature’s girth
in maddening maddening earth
