Traps of glittering sand
Hope trapped in
minuscule crystals
translucent image
of what remains
still and will be seen
for teaching a lesson
for generations to come
I was the mason
created quicksand
someone didn’t land
so soft so beautiful
can’t waste such mastery
a sacrifice made

was trapped instead

no even divinity

is the genius of its creation
now I roam the earth
mocking with mirth
cursing the birth
of universe and time
unable to cope
such is the effect
everlasting defect
of losing hope
Evening thoughts
intricacy of hue
carries me away
no opinions matter
just your colours cater
for what life is going to be
Cruelty and misfits
the distance between us
is nothing worth mentioning
time in between albeit
is centuries if not more
you live in palaces,
my solace on shore
admire opera and ballet,
I listen folklore
diamond, gold ornaments,
black iron is my core
thousand hearts sacrifice,
none comes to this fore
money never in torn pockets
you have more and more
few steps door to door,
still destinies apart
Superficiality
food and drink
wine and wink
laugh and link
social butterfly
life in sync
wearing woven
pretty hot pink
stilettos long heeled
diamonds and bling
sing and sing
before the last call
Potluck
Ceramic act, earthen ware
millions splashed randomly
not a penny to spare
craft adorning vast palaces,
bare minimum living, hard to bear,
fare isn’t fair, utter waste of a prayer
Suffocation
Lost in the city
where camels glitter
diamonds on taps,
gold in litter
flutters in gutters,
Rich and poor
contrasting fates
soul suffocates
before long

Faces change
beyond recognition
Shine and worth
doesn’t last
Lies unravel fast,
Clergy loses its sect
leaders forget their act
Reflections on a mirror
of truth and fact

Wine and prayer mixes
Destiny declares,
fate fixes
heart colour changes,
undermine jinxes
thoughts repeated

crosses, rosaries in their hands
They repeat and pretend
You belong to them
Rest of us be ashamed
for our sins and our deeds
In young minds and hearts
hatred they seed
