when life steps
become too heavy
tiredness run through
limbs and arms
forehead warms
a fever grips
sweat drips
feet trip
moist seeking lips
desperately need
liquid seed
come along
rest your long
beautiful legs
sit with me
sumptuous
sustenance
served hot
bit with me
guilty gossip
pleasure tales
kiss and tell
hit with me
your smiling spark
lights up the dark
million hope candles
lit with me
come, my dear,
it has been long
so so long since
you could, would
stood beside
or sit with me

This was interesting. I like the way it has been written. Thanks.

Hello, I’ve just finished reading a post on leaving “comments” on the “Daily Blog” and the topic was about leaving a more engaging comment
so I’ve decided to come back to your poem and leave a better comment because I actually thought it was excellent and realize that
I should have said so..

Of course Cat dude, next time you are in town let me know and I will take you to this shop, you will love it and I am sure shop lady would have a broom or two around if your paws became somewhat uncontrolable…😀

This is a very nice piece. It speaks to me, having a long week last week with my husbands illness, I took time to take care of myself as well, for mental health…so this really relates to me today. Thank you for sharing.

They have a shop in London?
Good thing some part of indigenous connection with identity is there ☺

Beautiful poem. Since it’s Earth Day, have you ever thought about how this could relate to us offering for our planet to take a break and sit down on that lovely sofa?Take a look at my poem for Earth Day and let me know what you think: She Smiles; poem in recognition of Earth Day

Hi AB! 🙂 I hope you are doing well. This is a comforting poem for me to read after the year that I have had so far. I feel like I have been sliding down a hill covered with barbed wire for the past few months, and the year is not over yet.
Take care. 🙂

Hi Arlene,
I am well and I so sorry to hear about your ordeal. I sincerely wish, hope and pray that you find few roses at the bottom of the hill.
My thoughts are with you. Keep smiling 🙂
Kindest regards,
AB

Hi AB,
I am glad that you are doing well. Thank you for your sympathy and support. I would like to see those roses at the bottom of the hill too. 😀
My thoughts are also with you. I know we don’t always have a lot of time to email each other (and I also don’t enjoy sending emails after finding out Yahoo and my phone company got hacked recently), but I hope we can somehow manage to stay in touch. It is good to hear from you again, AB. 🙂
Best wishes,
Arlene

The fault always lies with me, you do write religiously and beautifully and I am just lost, either for words or without words 🙂 thank you for your continuous endeavours and keeping our, now few years old, friendship alive 🙂

Thank you for explaining that to me. I understand what you mean. Sometimes I don’t know how to respond to what is going on in my life too. 😀
Maybe one day my life will have less drama and weirdness. But that is not the way it is now. I don’t like what is happening in California. Staying here long term does not seem to be a good idea.
You are welcome, AB. Yes, the time keeps passing by no matter what. I am glad that we are still friends. I hope you continue to be well and happy. 🙂
