Purpose of life

It is so hot, and I wear a coat
attend all guests, clean the moat
smile in front, frown in the shade
could you imagine the life I had
day in, day out, clock tick tocks
Luck sits up a tree, jeers and mocks
old age coming soon, nothing to boast
none will remember, this chubby friendly host

    1. Life extraordinaire

      First, foremost
      spread love
      Annihilate hate
      Don’t ever ever
      wait for fate
      helping others
      never cease
      in tough times
      death, disease
      Trust in Divine’s
      abound affection
      patience, contentment
      kiss disenfranchised
      make them fly
      even if you
      had to lie
      all this before
      you gracefully die
      moments are slow
      life goes fast
      every day
      it is your last

  1. Struck a cord. This one πŸ’ wouldn’t really submit the summary as it marrs the beauty and thats what matters πŸ™‚ visionaries and poets arent altogether that different.

    1. AJ so good to hear from you, I hope all is well, I hope the chord here was not so painful and mere reflection on existential queries, the sort we think about while staring at night sky full of stars πŸ™‚

      1. Darn! I have missed a conversation with you. Yes but musing and writing is thinning out from life nowadays feeling really empty. I hope weather isn’t tooo damp over at your end. Heard this time it’s sunnier than previous winters πŸ™‚

      2. Currently I am near Thar desert, with sun, blue skies and starry nights, around 1000 miles south of you contemplating is there life around any of the billions of stars in our galaxy and when will they eventually invade us πŸ™‚

      3. I so envy you. I don’t belong to the place and have had very little travelling but going to Mianwali I get how much more incredible the sky must be in Thar. They whisper secrets indeed.. If you lend an ear πŸ™‚ wish I could.

      4. You are very kind AJ, here is some gibberish πŸ™‚

        when it is grey
        foggy cold days,
        lit a fire inside,
        dim the lights of eyes,
        see deep starry skies,
        make nights whirl and amuse,
        let passions to shot fuse,
        senses play a ruse,
        Engulf intoxicate thoughts,
        enthral and rejuvenate,
today is the day you initiate,
the new sapling of fresh thought,
        let that be enough

      5. Glad to hear you are about a 1000 miles south and not farther captain. πŸ™‚ you should visit Islamabad to change the climate before going back πŸ™‚
