Uncontrollable passion
I just want to dance
I may be found insane
Inane, crazy, half wit, with no brain
these feet don’t want to stop
The rhythm is given by the beat of the heart
Hoo Hoo Haq hoo,
the beggar’s call, mighty fall
nothing matters, nothing at all
Is this the moment, to remove senses
No time no tenses,
No boundaries no fences,
Totally immersed in the ocean of love
Nothing seems of any value
Shaking head, dancing feet
being the sole answer
Worldly possessions seem cancer
Want to get rid of these tumours
All facts, findings mere rumours
And leave all my possessions
belongings, frustrations
just me and bare I
Urges wish to die, then die
I dance and I dance
Darwish has woken up in a trance
Never ever going to sleep again
senses regain, nothing
just a desire to move
in this rhythm of eternity
Index fingers moving up,
Doesn’t know where to stop
Begging you to hold my hand
Make me understand
What I am going through

The photo and the title took me to a whole other place. Your Poem was beautiful I found these lines to be very powerful
Is this the moment, to remove senses
No time no tenses,
No boundaries no fences,
Totally immersed in the ocean of love
Nothing seems of any value
Thanks for sharing.

Lovely! I guess that you don’t have any stories or emotions behind your compositions. Words just come to you and you just write them. Simple. Is that right?

I think so 🙂 not sure I understand your comment fully as ultimately we are made of what happened to us, what we heard, what our experiences are…for instance this poem was written in my free mind experiment and it talks about when a Darwish dances to achieve enlightenment what is going thorough his or her mind. I did this with free mind rather than controlling thoughts to make these words having more empathy and in a way went through a deep soul enriching experience.

Yes, that’s what I meant. Your words come out of freedom. Nothing great thought behind them. You just love to create and we love to read you.

Tu écris une situation dramatique qui exprime en belle poésie les mots danses , on est … On vit …

Thank you. Depending on our experiences it will mean something different to us all. It took me to a different place, and seemed to fit well my state of mind.

Hey AB, you know, at first I didn’t get it at all. Then I read some of the other comments and noticed your reply about the Darwish. It peaked my interest so I did some googling. I watched a short video of Darwish dancing and read up on what it’s all about. Then I came back and read your poem again. Totally get it now. Interesting how having the background really opens the eyes, don’t you think.
Impressive, your ‘putting yourself’ into the mind of a Darwish dancer and what she could possibly be experiencing and thinking. Just goes to show you that true art is not just an absent practice, using talent of ability. But that it’s interpretation based on the knowledge and the experience and the education of the artist.
Two thumbs up AB.

Thanks Staci for doing all this to understand my message, yes this was a bit hard on various people if they dive right in, probably most can safely conclude that I have finally gone insane (as if I wasn’t already)… 🙂

A distinct sense of stream of consciousness … works very well, AB. (The photo: you don’t mean that this elegant slim young woman is begging …?!)

She was not of course 🙂 I wanted a striking image to go along with the intensity of my words and this worked perfectly as begging in my poem is more about a lost soul begging for a path

Poets are amazing ! – how are they able to write creatively about situations of which they have no personal experience, I wonder …? Such imagination is worthy of much approbation ! 🙂
