  1. I’m sure their job might like anyone in authority…”hours of boredom interrupted by moments of sheer terror”. When anything goes wrong they must be read to respond. 🙂
Guards, police, military, firefighters, doctors, nurses, etc…I sure DO appreciate them and the job they do!
    HUGS!!! 😉

    1. We all do, difficult roles I agree, however a palace guard where nothing has happened for several years 🙂 important but filled with extreme boredom, mind you, perfect place if someone want to spend their time day dreaming 🙂

      1. I’ve never been to England. I’ve never gotten a chance to bug or pest or bother the guards there. 😀
It sounds like it would too boring for me.
Do they just stand there all the time or are they allowed to take photos with people?

      2. These are actually Danish Palace guards in Copenhagen, there or in London guards are not allowed to stand or chat with people, people can come near and a photo can be taken normally with a blank expression 🙂

  2. Guards,I guess it is a boring job done with much pleasure and attentive eyes. You don’t come to know any of their emotions. They keep a guard of everything so it can be said, they are smart.

      1. That is so true. But it is difficult to find a person who thoroughly enjoys each day of work or a job that would make you feel good about yourself. I think both are very few and if you are able to find both enjoy the work and a good job then you are lucky. 😉

  3. I have a feeling you might be cursing me…because I nominated you for the “Very interesting blog award” and I hope you don’t mind. You can read the nomination here http://nonsmokingladybug.wordpress.com/2014/06/28/nomination-for-very-inspiring-blog-award/. Please forgive me if you don’t want awards, or already have too many…in this case just tell me so. However, I nominated you because I like your blog and I hope I made you smile 🙂
