Strict curfew is imposed
on my unstable emotions
All memories, all worries
friendships end in hurry,
affections we bury
having a bad day
a pillow to sleep away
I was just thinking, it would be great if you own one and hold it up when someone does a great job in something. A great silent way of communicating. 😀
I agree, then you also need one with a frown and one with a sad face and use them accordingly, perhaps in a large open space office or on a factory floor 🙂
Thank you for liking “First Day of Summer” and “June.” I enjoyed your delightful poem and photo. 🙂 I could use some emotional cushions after two unexpected encounters with “lovestruck” men last Friday and Saturday. I use the term love loosely. I am still trying to recover from the shock, although the situations are more tragicomic than tragic.
Yes, I am also glad there was something to laugh about in the midst of a lot of awkwardness. The first guy is someone who lives in my neighborhood, and he told me that he has been seeing me lock up my front gate over the years. I thought he just wanted to get to know people around the neighborhood, but the conversation quickly degraded into a direction that I did not want to go. I was so shocked by his racy questions and his weird plans for me that I sent him away right away.
The other guy is the man that I told you about. He’s back again! 😦 It was not funny to see him again, but imagining the shocked expression on my face when I saw him and the way he looked when I veered my car away from him as if I saw a zombie makes me laugh.
I am okay, but I could still use all those cushions because now I am a little worried about going out to lock my front gate every day and to pick up my dad on Saturdays.
Thank you for your concern, AB. I hope I will be safe too. It would be nice if I could find peace again without worrying about men like this. There is so much more I could say, but I do not want to go into detail here.
May you stay safe,
May you have the courage,
May demons of past and present
resent their absurdity and foolishness,
Mundanity, calm and stillness
Staring at grass to grow for days,
has a place and a way, in our existence
Nice composition and colors.
