hundreds of miles
snow and sleet
hands dead numb,
frost bitten feet
thoughts insane,
roaming in vain,
what could be found
in these frozen plains
hoping to disappear in
icy lakes, blackened trees
perhaps to be found dead
in satin hell freeze
purpose and aim
with certainty unknown
one day wished to
walk on my own
tired of people,
tired of things
joy, pain, responsibility
mundanity brings
wanted to go away
where no one came
nothing to be given
credit for, none could blame
did work finish fine?
or studied on time?
this chore was completed?
did that poem rhyme?
essence of life, living
please pray tell
is it any better than
this ice cold hell
Me too! I’m ready for Spring! I like this! Happy Thursday! 😀
