A hole in my heart

everything you see,
whatever it be, it is me,
heart and soul own,
as known, the one who burned,
turned, in the shallowest of sleep,
heart bleep, threat turning hollow,
pride swallows, and let it show,
ashamed of passion, let it glow,
world laughs, so what, wind blows
I sense her from thousand miles
that sweet smell, travelling through mist
carrying most vivid dreams of one day
will be Sunday, when you and I meet
in the same cobbled street,
underneath half lit lamp,
on a damp, freezing morn
when your cold hand need warmth
you put it on my burning heart
a new beginning, brilliant start
Oh, I can see that beautiful time
coming soon, serene, sublime
almost touchable in Throxenby Lane
through my hospice window pane

    1. Thank you so much 🙂 indeed, a part of the world will always mock us, doesn’t really matter how grand, beautiful and great our effort or emotion have been, hence we should give it the same condescending treatment and say ‘take that, I am ignoring you’ 🙂
