Reality

Another one of us has left
Day of reckoning, our end is near
will miss his voice, his deep thought
his soul will be missed, so his heart
scratches, punches, reality bites so hard,
immense grief struck, falling apart
the world will keep moving, show must go
a reminder has come, not long to go

      1. Then I send you a very big affectionate hug.
Nothing like a hug from a large old lady, my boy ! – cheers you up in no time ! [grin]

  1. Reblogged this on Smorgasbord – Variety is the spice of life and commented:
I think that I miss most of all about the elderly who have passed away is their quiet wisdom. It may seem sometimes that they are lost in thought and not really listening, but then they will come out with something so profound that you realise that age does bring a different perspective on life. The photograph and the words convey that here.

  2. I am so sorry for your loss. He had very soulful eyes and he looks like had a face that could light up with a smile. The emotions you must be feeling are well conveyed in the poem. Blessings and peace upon him and you.

  3. Sorry for your loss AB. It’s difficult to bear the pain of a lost one but as you said “show must go”. Peace be with him and I hope you get the strength to bear the pain and courage to carry on.

  4. Moving words.I understand and am terribly sorry for the loss! Frost defines life in three words: “It goes on” So it does…
He has such a benign countenance like my grandmother…🌷 How was he related to you?
